We’re thrilled to announce the launch of the year-long Prevention Works Pathways Youth Employment Program, which happened on March 20th at the New Vision Epicenter.
This exciting initiative supports 21 Barbour County youth (ages 15–18) with job experience, leadership training, and life skills through the Bright Futures Barbour County prevention coalition. Each participant is being mentored by one of five incredible employment success coaches: Heather Bowen, Megan Yost, Sam Christie, Christian Abacan, and Travis Starett.
This year’s program is made possible thanks to the generous support of the West Virginia First Foundation, eight local business partners, and community champions like Doward and the late Twila Matlick. This year will be our sixth amazing summer of Prevention Works—and with your help, we’re expanding it into a year-round opportunity!
If you'd like to make a difference, please consider supporting our youth by donating now
or contacting Ruston Seaman at 304-669-2191. Let’s build brighter futures together!
